Instructions

Here is our suggested ritual to help you connect with the full vitality of these special leaves, especially those teas sourced from mountains of South America.

What You Will Need

  1. Your favourite mug, one that feels good in your hands.

  2. Your Roots & Ritual Tea Leaves.

  3. Fresh, pure water.

  4. A quiet moment to yourself.

Step 1: Heat your Water

Gently heat fresh water in a kettle or pot. For the best taste, bring it to a point where it's hot and steaming, but not at a full, rolling boil. Using water that's too hot can make the delicate leaves taste harsh.

Step 2: Add the Leaves

Place the whole tea leaves directly into your favourite mug. We suggest starting with about 5 to 7 leaves, but feel free to use more or less depending on your preference

Step 3: Pour and Watch

Pour the hot water directly over the leaves. You’ll see them start to unfurl and slowly turn the water a lovely golden-green colour.

Step 4: Let it Steep

Let the tea steep for 5 to 7 minutes. This gives the leaves the perfect amount of time to release their full, pleasant flavour. You can let it sit a bit longer if you prefer a stronger taste.

Step 5: Sip and Enjoy

Your tea is ready! There’s no need to strain it—the leaves will naturally settle at the bottom of the cup. Enjoy the clean, vibrant taste and the gentle, revitalizing feeling it provides.

Good to Know: These leaves are quite generous and can be used for more than one cup. Simply add another round of hot water to your mug and enjoy
